Cheap Crock Pot Meals for Less than $5

A cheap crock pot (or slow cookers as some refer to it as) is the best product for people that do not have time for cooking. You have to pour all the ingredients into the pot in the morning, and when it’s almost dinner time, a delicious meal will be prepared. It is perfect for summertime when we do not like to stay in the kitchen because of the warmth. Here we have some exciting Cheap Crock Pot meals under $5 that you can enjoy with family.

Crock pot

Chicken Tacos

  • Boneless chicken breasts 4
  • Seasoning for tacos to taste (1 packet or homemade)
  • Fresh tomatoes 2

Add all the ingredients in the Cheap Crock Pot and let them cook for 6 to 8 hours. Mix and shred the mixture so you can use it in burritos, tacos, salad or enchiladas. It is an excellent leftover because you can serve it hot or cold.

Bean Goulash

  • Ground beef 1/2 lb.
  • Bacon 1/2 lb.
  • Celery 1 stalk
  • Small onion 1
  • Kidney beans 1 to 2 cups
  • Butter beans 1 cup
  • Vinegar 1 Tbsp.
  • Ketchup or barbecue sauce 1/2 cup
  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Brown sugar 1/2 cup

Add celery, ground beef, bacon, and onions in the cooker and wait until they are brown. Add all the remaining ingredients to the crock pot and let it cook a little. Set the oven to 350 degrees and bake the mixture for 30 minutes. Place the ingredients in the crock pot again and let it cook for 2 hours.

Garlic Roasted Chicken

  • Chicken 3-5 lb.
  • Salt
  • Paprika
  • Pepper
  • Minced garlic 3 Tbsp.
  • Butter 1/4 lb.
  • Chicken broth 1/2 cup

Add pepper, salt, and paprika on the chicken. Rub it properly with garlic. Add the chicken in the crockpot and add broth and butter to the pot. Let it cook slowly for 6 to 8 hours. Serve when it is hot.  AWESOME MEAL!

Barbecue Beef Stew

  • Stew meat 1-2 lbs.
  • Onion 1 cup sliced
  • Green pepper 1/2 cup chopped
  • Garlic 1 clove
  • Salt 1/2 tsp.
  • Pepper 1/8 tsp.
  • Beef stock 2 cups
  • Tomatoes 1 to 2
  • Mushrooms 1 can
  • Barbecue sauce 1/3 cup

Sauté pepper, onion, and garlic in oil. Now add pepper, beef stock, salt tomatoes, barbecue sauce, and mushrooms. Allow the meat and other ingredients to cook in the crock pot for 8 to 10 hours at low heat. To thicken the mixture, you can add cornstarch 2 Tbsp with the cold water ¼ cup. Let it stew before you serve.
