Twitch.tv offers unique ways to earn affiliate revenue.  You can do this through their monetary system and the selling of games.  The latter is probably the easiest to explain.  As you’ll be playing the games, you could be trying to passively refer people to try it out on their own time.  Although, in many cases, people watch games so that they don’t have to play games themselves!

Bits (or 1 Cent)

You can earn bits through Twitch which are mostly 1 cent rewards for Cheers or any other sort of emoticon reaction to a game you are streaming.  You’ll need to apply for Twitch Affiliate, and then, in turn, be approved.  We cover approvals more in the Hack Affiliate Marketing category, and in some cases, it does take some time to be accepted.  You’ll also need to apply with these pre-existing terms:

  • 50 followers and over the last 30 days
  • Have at least 500 total minutes broadcast, seven unique broadcast days, and an average of 3 or more concurrent viewers
  • This criterion may change as the program develops
